Marie Henry recently joined Gould & Lamb as Staff Counsel. She brings over two decades of Commercial Insurance experience to the firm and has been active in Medicare Compliance since 1999. Marie has served as a Commercial Lines Underwriter and Workers’ Compensation Manager. She has managed a team of adjusters and support staff to successfully adjudicate Workers’ Compensation claims. She oversaw OSHA compliance and Safety Committee duties as well.

Prior to joining Gould & Lamb, Marie was employed by Hartford Insurance Group. During her 12 year tenure, she successfully managed multi-jurisdictional complex Workers’ Compensation claims on the High Exposure team until her promotion to team leader in 2005. In her leadership role, she managed a team of adjusters providing excellent claim service for the management of multi-jurisdictional Workers’ Compensation claims for a diverse group of self-insured entities, PEO’s, insurance carriers, and high deductible clients.

Marie received her Juris Doctor degree from Barry University College of Law in December 2008. She is a member of the Florida Bar and is licensed to practice law in the state courts of Florida and the Middle District of Florida. Marie obtained her Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree with honorary distinction, cum laude, from Fayetteville State University. Her Professional Designations include: Associate in Claim (AIC) and Senior Claim Law Associate (SCLA). Marie is a member of the Central Florida Association of Women’s Lawyer (CFAWL) and the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA). She provides volunteer legal services with the Florida Bar Foundation and Legal Aid Society of Central Florida.
